Tracking paid time off and other requests can become cumbersome with traditional tools (a phísical calendar) and there is a chance something gets miswritten or forgotten about which in turn can cause a lot of trouble with managing schedules and employee availability, keeping track of how many sick leave and PTO days one person has can also become difficult this way.
We integrated a request system into the already existing infrastructure of the daily worker tracking app. They have the option to create requests and submit them which are automatically directed to the assigned person. Who then can approve or decline these requests. They can also create mandatory time offs for the workers who in turn get notified about it.
Both the worker and the manager can now see their own and if permitted other workers’ request history, track how many days they still have of Paid Time Off or Sick Leave. If the company allows for Home Office they can also manage requests for that in the same system.
Time spent on managing requests has greatly decreased and workers now have a direct line of communication with the appropriate person, who can manage these requests well in time just by the click of a button and have a comprehensive list of every upcoming and past request. Workers can also track their past and upcoming requests, their remaining PTO and Sick Leaves.
